Beautiful Losers x Nike Dunk High

With the highly anticipated Beautiful Losers video and exhibition launching this Friday, August 8th. The film features some of the low-fi art world’s most critically acclaimed artists such as Shepard Fairey, Barry McGee, Geoff McFetridge and Ed Templeton just to name a few. The film is a in-depth look into the common philosophy of these artists as they push creative boundaries under a distinct do-it-yourself aesthetic. Nike Sportswear in conjunction with the documentaries launch, is hosting a series of “Make Something” workshops which cover a wide range of subject matter from painting, photography, skateboard graphic design, toy design, film-making, tattoo art, footwear design and zine-making. These events will be run by Beautiful Losers artists ensuring a surreal experience for all that attend. Nike’s role in the event features a collection of Beautiful Loser Dunks which all display movie shots utilizing Nike’s all new high-resolution digital printing technique. Half shoe, half art piece, the final result is something that fully captures the essence of the Beautiful Losers movement. Two sets of shoes will go on sale to benefit the Children’s Aid Society following their showcasing at the Nike exhibitions.
