

It may not be practical, but the structure is making waves in the design world, winning Private House Jury honors at last month's World Architecture Festival in Barcelona. The one-of-a-kind structure, designed by Japan’s Sou Fujimoto Architects, sits on the banks of River Kuma 50 miles outside of Tokyo and is intended to be a “primitive place for human inhabitation,” according to its architects.
